Brand New

Jesus Christ, that's a pretty face
The kind you'd find on someone that could save
If they don't put me away
It’ll be a miracle

Do you believe you're missing out?
That everything good is happening somewhere else
But with nobody in your bed
The night is hard to get through

And I will die all alone
And when I arrive I won’t know anyone

Well, Jesus Christ, I’m alone again
So what did you do those three days you were dead?
Because this problem's gonna last
More than the weekend

Well, Jesus Christ I’m not scared to die
I’m a little bit scared of what comes after
Do I get the gold chariot
Do I float through the ceiling

Do I divide and fall apart
Cause my bright is too slight to hold back all my dark
This ship went down in sight of land
And at the gates does Thomas ask to see my hands?

I know you'll come in the night like a thief
But I’ve had some time alone to hone my lying technique
I know you think that I’m someone you can trust
But I’m scared I’ll get scared and I swear I’ll try to nail you back up
(everyone now)
So do you think that we could work out a psalm
So I’ll know it's you and that it's over so I won't even try
I know you'll come for the people like me
But we all got wood and nails,
And talk dirt at hating factories
But, we all got wood and nails
And talk dirt at hating factories
Yeah, we all got wood and nails
And we sleep inside of this machine

The Arcade Is On Fire!

I stand free as I sit here saluting the world with a room temperature glass of the lowest end red wine they sell in the streets of Winnipeg.. The long awaited Arcade Fire album "The Suburbs" is set to release on Aug.3, twenty ten! Very cool news for any Arcade fans out there as well. There was a single set for release today! Its called "Month of May". I found a version on "you know what" which will probably be taken off the net shortly. I hope some of who ever can at least peep this..? Comment on opinions ladies & gentlemen. Dont forget to enjoy it. Stay flavourful!
P.s As I finished writing this I found the other single called "The Suburbs". Sooo good!

Mistaken For Strangers, Red Bicyclette Merlot

Posts are so intense when I'm bored for some reason. I'm doing nothing, but doing nothing is exactly what I want right now. I hope to see The National this year at Osheaga 2010 in Monetreal... I'd also like to make a shout out to Red Bicyclette Merlot wine.

put on my worried shoes, my worried shoes.

bad news for good people

This post has one reason and one reason only. My good friend Norm lost his father.. I cant imagine what sort of a feeling that could be.. I feel sad, I feel weird, but most of all... I feel bad for a good friend.. Im speechless. Your an admirable person Norm dont forget that. God Bless you my brother, keep your chin up.

Bright Lights and Bruises

I have spent literally about two months thinking of how to express my thoughts on what I'm about to tell you. Some of my best experiences sometimes aren't remembered quite well, but here goes nothing. On the Saturday night of January 15Th, my highly anticipated evening started with a six pack of Carling, and a few good friends. I remember walking into The Cavern at about 8:00 pm. For some reason it didn't surprise me that I was crunched up nearly elbow to elbow with everyone, just to see a band opening for an acclaimed local punk group. This opening band goes by the name of Long Term Enemy. It began with such a great vibe to begin with because I ran into so many people I haven't talked to in a long time, which is cool. If you're into metal and versatility then you would have enjoyed their set list. I'm not better than anybody nor do I think that I know more about facts with genres of music than anybody. But I will say this: From my point of view each time a friend has tried to introduce me to a metal group they have all seemed so generic. Almost in the way of sending a message through hard screaming vocals and super technical guitar riffs (I'm still giving huge credibility to those artists out there). Now you see, the vibe Long Term Enemy gave me didn't occur until a few days after the show. I realized that this group is raw. It almost reminds you of when you hear about artists being so "live" and "raw" when they first blow up. Long Term Enemy sort of stood for those groups and bands out there that seem so real behind closed doors. If you understand what I'm saying it could be quite interesting to think about. All in all and nonetheless the show was a great turn out with a maxed out Cavern crowd. Set list goes as followed. precious, aginor, pipe hype, the justified genocide of manifest destiny, the guilt of filth, four years of amnesia, slowly burning chapter 2
For those who missed the show? I've heard a rumor about a summer Cavern gig again. If there indeed is anybody out there in Winnipeg reading this...And if you're into metal, then I definitely recommend keeping your ears open this summer. Enjoy yourselves.
